When does the 3rd trimester start?

A FTM 26+5 I am confused when does the 3rd trimester start?
27 weeks or 28 weeks 
I’ve heard so many different people different things.

I always say 27 weeks... people say 28 weeks but that doesn’t make sense to me because how could the first trimester be 14 weeks and the third trimester only be 12 weeks? 27 weeks makes more sense to me because it’s 13.3 weeks spread to total to 40 weeks.

You’ll get different definitions because there is no, like, worldwide definition. Some people say it starts at 27 weeks, some 28. I just went with the latest definition for trimesters: 14 weeks for second, 28 weeks for third.
