Advice?

So I'm in this operetta and I really, REALLY like one of my co-stars. He is adorable and goofy and charming and talented and ugh his smile melts my cold, dead heart.

And like...I think he's single but I'm not 100% sure...? I wanna find out so I'm not wasting my energy on something unattainable.

But I also don't wanna ask him myself cuz like if it weirds him out, we are stuck that way until October when the show closes.

Every single member of the ladies ensemble knows how much I like him because I'm not particularly opaque with my feelings. Every time I talk to him, my voice jumps up like an octave and a half and the girls make fun of me for it mercilessly. And I know that one member of the men's ensemble knows because I asked him to try to sleuth out whether or not The Guy is single.

So I mean...the likelihood of The Guy knowing already anyway is pretty high. Should I just go for it and ask myself or should I stick with my original plan and have my guy friend ask? Sorry for the rambling. My stomach is just alive with butterflies every time I think of him.
