My FWB dropped the L word during sex

So I’ve been seeing this guy for almost 3 months. He was my crush in college and we just reconnected. We had really great sex all summer (we also went on dates and had amazing/deep conversations but I think we mutually just wanted sex). Anyway long story short he was fucking me kind of gently in missionary and he’s never gentle 🤪 But as he was kissing me he said “I love you” he said it so softly, kinda sheepishly. 🙈 I didn’t know what to say so I just told him to fuck me harder. We haven’t spoken since. I know we wouldn’t work as a couple, but the dick is too mm mmm good😂 Would you ever date a fwb? Can a real relationship even flourish if you start out only viewing each other in a sexual way? I personally like the dating and mystery in my relationships. He was the first guy I ever hooked up with casually.

Y’all so this was a lil summer ting. I told him I have feelings for him too but that those feelings weren’t quite love and he understood.

We stayed friends for the rest of the summer and stopped having sex entirely. It was the most authentic and beautiful connection I’ve had with a man. 😩 So by the end of the summer its time for me to leave the state for school. We shared a kiss before I left and I felt this gut feeling that I made the wrong decision by not telling him my true feelings (which I still wasn’t sure).

Anyway, at first we still FaceTimed regularly then I told him I needed space to focus on myself and on school so he gave me a little too much space 😅 I FaceTimed him last month on his birthday and the way his face lit up, yall 😭 I could literally cry because no one had ever looked at me the way that man looks at me, with such genuine admiration. He told me his feelings for me haven’t changed.

So, I bought him a plane ticket for Christmas so he can come and see me after my final exams. I booked a hotel and everything. I’m really excited to show him the city and have a ton of romantic things lined up: open mic night at a poetry bar, we’ll tour the monuments, maybe visit the White House one late night to see the Christmas decorations. We’ll sneak wine into the pool area at the hotel and drink while me mess around in the jacuzzi (provided no one is watching). Have some bomb ass sex back in the room, and if I’m feeling particularly bold, I’ll tell him I love him too.

I’m so nervous! This is my first real adult relationship. Anyway just thought I would share! Wish me luck. 🙈
