Cyst in fluid of brain?

We had our 20 week ultrasound and they found a small cyst on the fluid of the brain. 
The hands were open which I was told rules out trisomy 13 & 18? Anyone else with experience with a cyst in the fluid?

My son had it.. it was found at 18 weeks 2 days and by 22 weeks, it was gone. They are common and usually go away on their own

I found out at my 20 week anatomy scan that my baby has 2 cysts on its brain. We freaked out of course, but after talking to my doctor just yesterday he said that it’s very common and because everything else was normal and my quad screen came back negative for any genetic abnormalities, we shouldn’t have anything to worry about. He did however have me schedule another ultrasound at 28 weeks, just so we can check on them. One thing he did mention that we thought was interesting, is they may not even really be cysts at all. He thinks they are ventricles in the brain that are still developing because the brain is still developing. Apparently undeveloped ventricles can show up like “cysts” in an ultrasound. This made my husband and I feel a lot better about everything, but it will definitely be on my mind until we see that everything is fine. Im sure your baby is just fine also!

My baby girl had a cyst at the 20 week appt but she said it was super common and go away within a couple weeks. She said it wasn’t necessary to schedule a follow up but many do just for peace of mind😊👌🏻

Our baby has a small cyst too at our 20 week ultrasound. Our doctor said since we already did NIPT that ruled out down syndrome, but she did schedule another ultrasound for the next appointment which is at 26 weeks to check the status. she said most of the time they go away but they need to monitor it just in case because if not then the pediatrician will need to monitor it. I'm worried about our baby but glad I get another ultrasound lol
