Postpartum essentials recommendations?

Hi Mammas! I’m getting ready for my first baby and as I’m entering my third trimester, I’m trying to think ahead. Any recommendations for postpartum must haves???

Make sure you make some padsicles with witch hazel! They’re a huge relief when you get sore down there. The tucks witch hazel wipes have worked well for me too because wiping hurts. Epsom salt for baths will help you heal and helps relieve pain and relax you. Prepare for a heavy period for a few days. I used always discreet boutique adult diapers and they are better than wearing a huge maxi pad all the time and great for bedtime. Definitely make sure you have a peri bottle to help clean down there because wiping hurts a lot. Its kind of intimidating for a day or two but it comes easy after you know what works for you. Sounds weird, but get some adult diapers for the first week...Much more comfortable than the giant pads they give you at the hospital!

I would add Arnica pills it helped me massively as I bruised a lot for my son so I took it for my daughter and had barely a bruise and it left quicker!
As well, a water bottle so you can have it with you as moving might be painful at first.
And I personally had bought a special soap for my poor downstairs haha it was with no soap or chemical in it, don’t remember the name but fuck it was cleaning properly without the stinging pain that comes with soap!

Nursing bras, pads for your bra, comfortable underwear you don’t care if it get ruined, pads enough for 6 weeks worth.... also make some easy prep freezer meals. My baby came unexpectedly a week early and we hadn’t finished prepping them. I’m so busy with the baby some days I can’t cook. 🙂 good luck
