Used baby gifts?
I'm starting to make my baby registry and I was thinking about putting a cute little note in about used gifts (see below). I love to thrift shop and I want to let people know that they don't have to spend the extra money on brand new items.
My worry is that I'm going to open a Floodgate to get everybody's hand-me-downs from the 1980s. If I get a bunch of stuff like that will people be offended if I don't use it or pass it on to somebody else? We're not finding out the gender so that should help with the clothes piece at least.
Has anybody done anything like this before? Did it work for you?

Here is what my little note would say:
"This baby is going to be fresh and brand new,
but that doesn't mean that your gifts have to be too.
If you have the perfect hand me downs or find something used,
those gifts will be appreciated as if they were new.
This mama is thrifty and her baby will be too, there is nothing wrong with things slightly used.
Please be sure to mark even used gifts off on our registry on babylist.com."
