Confused & Needing Advice

Maegan

Hello everyone. I haven't been on this app in so long, but I'm just looking for some advice. Before I start I would like to mention that I'm a 16 year old who isn't really comfortable with my body, so that has some bearing on how I explain this and what I do for this problem.

I've been itchy around my "zone" for a while now, but I just chalked it up to being normal. About a week ago, I noticed a painful red bump in the area between my thigh and my "zone". I left it alone for a couple days hoping it would go away on it's own, but it didn't. Reluctantly, I told my mom about it (we're very close, but I'm still uncomfortable talking about my area in general to anyone), and she told me to put some antibiotic cream on it and watch it. When I went to put the cream on the spot, it seemed to have a lot of discharge. As of now there is still a bump, but it is not as painful. Now there is another painful bump higher up in my "zone". It seems to be the same thing, with only a little discharge so far. I put some cream on both spots, but I'm concerned about what is causing the spots. I looked up some things (Yes, I know Google is not a doctor), and I got a feeling that it could possibly be HSV. I guess what I'm wondering is, for those with HSV, does this sound similar to what you've experienced? Either way, do you think I should tell my mother about the second bump and ask to go to the doctor?

Sorry about the long post, but I have anxiety and I'm internally freaking out at what these bumps could be. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks in advance everyone.
