Nightlight

What do you use as a nightlight for your toddler? Mine has developed a fear of the dark over the last month. I bought one of those blue/green light ones and it is way to bright in his room, plus he thinks it’s a flash light so he pulls it out and then is confused as to why it doesn’t work anymore. (Which also freaks me out cause I don’t want him to shock himself). In the end it’s a distraction not a tool to help him. We are currently just leaving the bathroom light on outside his door, but I feel like I’m wasting so much electricity leaving it on. So any good nightlights out there?
