Copper IUD

I got the copper IUD about a month ago & got it put it on my period. I thought my period started today but it was only heavy for about 2 hours & now I’ve been spotting all day........ not sure if my period hasn’t actually started & I’m just spotting or something else.... my breast have been also tender for the past couple weeks since my last period.... just want to know if anyone had similar experiences
