Tear in incision?

I’m 4.5 weeks postpartum and as of last week I noticed a sting in my incision in the shower... because of the sting I put a piece of paper towel on the incision and saw a little dot of blood. I called my doctor and went in and they said it was just a little spot that still needed to heal. Well today it’s now gone from a little spot to an inch. It’s not bleeding badly just a line of blood when I look at the paper towel every couple of hours but now my husband says it’s red on the incision line on each side of the tear. I’m wondering if I should call in the morning or just wait for my 6 week visit or if the redness or tear gets worse... anyone have a similar experience?
