If you have RH - blood did you receive the Rhogam shot?

I have A- blood and my doctor wanted to do the Rhogam shot at 28 weeks. I'm 27 weeks and had spotting last night so they told me to come in and get it done early today. I did because of the spotting but after I had it I went home and was so tired I passed out for 3 hours and I don't typically nap. I still don't feel right. Are any of you ladies getting the Rhogam or did you refuse?

O my goodness, please PLEASE don't turn down the Rhogam or Vitamin K! The necessity is so complicated. You need Rhogam to coat your red cells (this is where Rh is found) after your first pregnancy or you are putting your baby at risk for HDFN. If your Rh isn't "hidden" by Rhogam then there will be antibodies made that could attack babies Rh pos red cells and they will hemolyze (burst). I work in a medical laboratory and mixing of moms blood with babies is not uncommon.

I got the rhogam a total of 4 times (during and after my first two pregnancies), I then had a 8 week miscarriage and didn’t get it, then got pregnant again immediately after and refused it this time around. I’m now 32 weeks and all is well. It’s really unnecessary unless there’s blood mixing by trauma or even spotting. I developed lupus after my second child was born and all my research points to the rhogam as a possible cause of it. This is my last baby and I will not get it after birth either

I have had it for my son, after birth, and losses. I plan on receiving it at 28 for baby girl as well. I have read firsthand accounts that some women experience temporary fatigue after, but it doesn't happen to most women. It is a critical shot though, because lacking the rhesus factor can cause your body to treat your baby like a virus which could result in miscarriagr, preterm labor, jaundice, liver damage, and still birth in your newborn. To me, it's not worth the risk to turn it down.

I need more information I think I’m a+ my husband is a-my son is a- and my daughter is a+. Did I need a shot ? My sister is rh- and her son is too . She had the shot but I never did ? Do I need it with baby number three ?
