Front desk job??

Question

Is there anyway for me to up my chances of getting a medical front desk job with no experience? I’ve been on a few interviews but they all say they’re looking for someone with at least a year of relevant experience, but how do I get experience if no one will hire me? I have to work so I don’t have time to just volunteer and no one seems willing to take a chance on me.

Answer

State that in your job interview. “ I’m the excellent candidate for this position because ______ (your skills) if a company would give me a chance based of the characteristics I acquire. I can bring value to the company” when I worked in HR in my starting careers. I looked for the 3 H. Humble. Honest. Hungry. 
It’s a front desk job. It’s not like you’re trying to be a surgeon. I hate this in jobs and if a person in HR is reading this——- give people a chance to show themselves! Training is everything in the company assets. But in all this— hope you stay with the company for over a year.

Always find a way to spin your weakness into a strength. Right now they are using your lack of experience as a way to disqualify you but turn it around on them. Present yourself with confidence that you can do the job despite not having the experience on paper. Identify the relevant skills they are looking for and really highlight HOW you already have them. You may still get turned down but then again they may just like how you didn’t back down at the first sign of defeat for a job you really want.

You might need to start with a position lower than that or just anything that’s somewhat in the medical field or office work. I work as a pharmacy technician so I think I could probably get that job but that’s just one example.
