Am I attention seeking

So I’m trying out for my Jazz group at school

and I’m nervous about it so I asked my friends what they thought, one of them said I was being an attention seeker cause it’s not the first or second time I’ve asked her about it but it really affected me today, I’m nervous about it so I don’t know what to do it and both the girls that I talked to are amazing dancers and even though they say I’m pretty good but they are 12x better than me.

Is it attention seeking if I brought it up a third time?
