Restaurant etiquette on messy baby?

What’s the etiquette on this? When we go to dinner my baby (10 month old) eats what I have or snacks that I bring for her. It’s obviously baby safe food. Anyways, there is always  food under the table around her high chair. I try to wipe it up before leaving same with the table but sometimes I can’t clean the floor cus it’s crowded. I don’t like leaving a mess and others have told me to just leave it. But I’m curious. What do you ladies do?

I pick up as much as I can underneath the table. I was a server for years and I find it inconsiderate when parents of children just blatantly leave a mess. It’s not difficult to do a last minute pick up before leaving. That’s my personal opinion.

I pick up as much of the big pieces and I can with napkins or baby wipes. I feel like any effort is probably appreciated by the workers even though they’ll still have to sweep under the table regardless.

As a server, it’s really not a problem! I’d rather sweep up after sweet babies then the adults who make messes and leave it. 
As a parent, yeah I clean up as much as possible lol

I try to wipe up what I can on the floor and table.  I have work in restaurants. You don’t need to clean you be surprised how many don’t.  But is appreciate. If I can’t clean I give a big tip. Like if I’m tipping 20% I would tip 25% instead. If the mess is not that bad that I don’t tip extra.

Just do the best you can. I'm sure they appreciate you just wiping down the table. Some parents don't even do that 🤨

I tidy up and clean as much as possible before we leave, sometimes the serving staff say not to bother so I’ll just get the grosser bits for them

Thanks ladies! This really helps. I was shocked when I was told to just leave it. I’m like wth! This is horrible we look like pigs. Well not really but it was bad in my eyes. I give her a little bit at a time so she doesn’t throw all over the place but there is still a mess. Cleaning with a napkin is hard but I still do what I can. I even thought about carrying a mini dustpan and broom cus it bugs me so much! Lol. That is obviously unrealistic lol. I will be sure we tio extra from now on too! Thank you again! 😘
