Blogging/career options

I've just graduated and I am heading back to uni to complete my masters. I'm studying Sociology and im really interested in social research and human rights. In particular feminist/reproductive rights. I would LOVE a job directly linked to this. Somewhere I can educate and change policy and lives for the better. I am especially interested in abortion and pregnancy. I live in the UK where we have relatively good healthcare laws and procedures. I am considering starting a blog of some sort where I could discuss these topics and just wondered if people thought this would be a good idea. I wasn't sure if other people would actually be interested in reading about these topics! Thanks in advance!!
