Brown discharge that lasts all day 2 weeks BEFORE period??

My period is hardly ever regular. I don’t use any type of birth control right now. From what I’ve read this brown discharge before my period could be me ovulating but I’ve never had it before and it’s lasted about a week and a half to two weeks. I have none of the symptoms I usually have before my period (sore breasts, moody, cramps) I’ve been slightly moody but not as much as I usually would be before my period. According to the app I should start my period in 2 days. Of course it could possibly be off considering it can be sometimes. Any ideas???
