Stuff you wish your medical provider wouldn’t say out loud

When you fly on a plane you really don’t want to hear the captain say things like “uh oh”. Well on Thursday when I had an OBGYN appointment they had some trouble finding the heartbeat so I was given an ultrasound immediately, which I very much appreciate. During the ultrasound the tech found my healthy baby high up and on the left (seriously above my belly button because of a fibroid). She commented on how high the baby was and then said “how are we going to get that baby out of you?” Yeah... not something you love hearing from a medical provider. She meant well and I think she was half kidding but my sense of humor disappeared half way through my first trimester. Sigh.
