Heart palpitations, lightheaded ness, vomiting and a b*tchy ER nurse.

Hi everyone! I need to vent. I’m 15 weeks and I’ve had bad nausea and vomiting since the 9 week mark that has only seemed to get worse. The last three day I’ve been throwing up three times a day and (TMI) having diarrhea. Today I’ve been having bad heart palpitations which I read can be common in pregnancy. I didn’t start to worry until it lasted for a little over two hours along with feeling like I’m going to pass out if I take a few steps and feeling short of breath. So I called the on duty obgyn at my office and she thought it to be best if I go to the ER.

So since my husband’s working right now, my mom drove me and is here waiting with me. Here’s where I get pissed off. We have an intake nurse see us to ask a few questions and take my blood pressure. Let me preface this story by telling you that my blood pressure has been fantastic any and every time I’ve had it checked in my life. As recently as 4 days ago, I had my bp taken at the dentist and it was 117/62. Just now with the intake nurse, it was 158/84. I was wide eyed starring at the screen, as was my mother who spoke up. My mom says “did you tell her what it usually is?!”. So I did and the nurse coldly replies “well...you’re pregnant...”. WOW thank you soooooo much for informing me!!!! I had NO idea!! I’m not numb to the changes in the pregnant body. I was literally informing her of the drastic change in blood pressure 4 DAYS AGO!!! 😡😡😡😡 it’s probably hormones but she probably did not help the blood pressure.

Anyway, I just needed to vent. pregnancy is hard enough without this BS.
