PURPOSEFULLY HIV INFECTED???

So I have been chatting with this guy for like a month now. He’s in the army so he was gone for training for a month. We’ve been texting everyday right? So he’s never said anything disrespectful or sexual. Last night he came to a festival thing to meet up with me and some of my friends. Long story short we ended up having sex. My buddy gave him TWO condoms for us to use. Before we had sex I told him to put it on. He didn’t but we still had Sex. Afterward I asked why he didn’t use it and he replied with something along the lines of “well do you have something?” And I said no but still. He seemed like he was trying to joke and mentioned that he has HIV. Then told me he was just joking. He made those comments twice as a “joke” and then also made a comment about being “one of those people who like to spread the love.”

I’m worried now because who the fuck makes comments like that for 1. And for 2 I don’t know him well enough to know anything like that anyway...... what do you ladies think? Am I looking too deeply at his comments or should I legitimately be concerned?

Side note: we were both really drunk so maybe he thought it was be funny? And also the last comment was this morning so maybe he thought it was a play off of the stuff he’d said the night before?
