Are you allowed to have fake nails where you work?

I like getting my nails done SOMETIMES, if i feel like it and just to help me grow them out so i dont bite them. But idk if my job will allow it, they wouldnt be super long cause i hate long nails but i mean can a job actually require you to not have nails? like the only thing we were told was no "offensive" tattoos and no big hoop earrings just incase it got caught in a blender or something 😂 nose piercings are also allowed but no hoops. Can i just get short nails and not say anything or do i have to ask?
