So, you are having a baby...

Linda

There a baby on his/her way and you want to get the nursery done. Before you look anywhere else, spend a bit of time shopping on Facebook market and/or Letgo app for used items or maybe even new ones! There is a lot of people the buy a brand new crib, use for a year or two and then their kid outgrows it.

I share a room with my baby; he doesn’t have his own nursery, so we only have a few pieces for him. I got a crib for $75 (+$60 mattress from Walmart), a changing table for $25, a play mat for $15 (I cleaned and wiped it down before using) and a 2-in-1 booster seat for $10. I’ll post pictures with original prices.

If you don’t mind using pre-love items, I highly recommend it. Baby’s are expensive. If you guys have some other way of saying some money, please let others know.

PS. I even furnished my 2 bedroom apartment this way. I got a glass coffee table with hold legs, a matching end table, a white fabric couch, two bed frames, a big kitchen table, 4 chairs (got these for free), a L-shaped computer table, 3 nightstands, and a “industrial” wooden desk for me. I spent $750 and got almost everything, minus the mattresses and a television + stand. Bought my mattresses from wayfair.com. We don’t spend time in the living much, so we didn’t get a TV. We have a smaller TV in my husbands room. The key is to give yourself a bit of time, so you can really hunt for this deals, and to purchase between May and July. This is when college senior graduate and need to move out, either to go back to the hometown or new job.
