Possible breast cancer?

Last night I was sitting on my moms bed on my phone and literally out of nowhere, my left boob started to hurt in one area almost like a bruise. I kept feeling it and only that particular area felt firm almost like a ball. This morning I looked in the mirror and lifted my shirt to see a red area where the pain is and when I feel it, it's hard or "firm" to the touch like a little ball is inside, but everywhere else is soft and normal and my other breast is normal too. I am very worried and I'm already preparing for the worst. I'm sure my google searches are not helping my worry. I told a few friends and my mom and they all think that while it could be anything, it sounds like a cyst. I'm scared to live a short life but I guess I'd just have to accept it...
