Knowing the world is cold

Lately I’ve been highly anxious just knowing that the world I imagined growing up is not the world we live in.. Growing up I had this rose colored glasses image on the world. It hurts now that I know people are mean, hurtful and the world is cold. I mean I knew but Know that I am an adult it hurts my heart. But I always keep this hidden away from people I keep a strong face in front of people.
