He doesn’t want to have sex.. is he cheating

So my bf and I are going on 3 years now we’re both young (23).

We use to have a normal sex life which involved us having sex atleast one to two times a week ( we have busy and opposite schedules ) . I personally require sex to be happy in a relationship idk about him he always claims he doesn’t need it .

But anyway lately ( past 3 weeks or so ) he has been completely rejecting me . I would try to start or initiate sex or foreplay and he would move my hands off his dick and instead say he wants to cuddle .

I understood Yk maybe he just wasn’t in the mood but then the next excuse was that his sister ( they share an apartment ) over heard us having sex and felt uncomfortable ... but we never have sex while sheshome or when we know she’s awake .

Following week I asked again and the excuse was “ I’m just trying to be careful idon’t want to have a kid “ meanwhile we’ve never had unprotected sex 🙃🙃🙃🙃.

There was an incident a month ago where we were having sex and I was basically rubbing my clit while he was penetrating me and his dick slipped and went against my nail and I cut him ( not deep i was a small scrape ) and I’m trying to justify his behavior by maybe he’s traumatized by that incident where he got scratched ?

It’s 4 weeks now and i confronted him about it because it’s like over night he suddenly didn’t want to have sex anymore . I asked him if he had met someone or something and he said “ I would never do that to you “... I’m conflicted partially because I’m sexually frustrated and I spent too much time on google looking up why this happens and everyone ( including friends ) have been suggesting he could be cheating ....

Has this happened to any of you before ? What do you think ... what do i do ..

It’s taking a toll on my self esteem I feel unwanted and like maybe he’s just not attracted to me anymore ... I’m starting to worry that he’s cheating this isn’t normal for us we usually have consistent sex ... sex is important to both of us atleast it use to be . I feel like shit about myself every time he rejects me. I use to work out regularly but I’m currently in college and working and doing internships so my work out time has diminished

To both of us so idk what’s wrong and he won’t talk to me about it he says I’m being silly and jokes it off and proceeds to cuddle me ...
