Newbie

Hi friends,

I’m posting as an anon because I’m not use to this and I’m really scared to reach out. I just had my pap done and my gyno and I have been talking about the pain I’ve been in for more than a year now. I had numerous trips to the ER because they told me I had ovarian cysts and when the pain was bad to come in and get an internal ultrasound (I know, so happy for them to take my copay and stick something in me...) they say I’m ok and send me home with xtra strength Tylenol.

Some things that came up at my appointment though: I’ve had horrible pain lasting almost constantly for over 1 year, numerous ER trips for pain, and for the past 4-5 months I’ve been having two periods e.g. August 6-11 then again August 19-26. I have yet to get auntie flow for September but my gyno says that may be because I’m on Heather birth control. During this meeting she said she thinks it’s time to discuss that she believes that I have endo. I’m nervous as to what to expect because it affects every woman differently but this pain guys. I told her it gets so bad that i can feel it right where my ovaries are and it shoots down to my knees and then pain in my lower back and through my whole pelvis😓 she said that she is waiting for a specialists schedule to open to schedule me to go speak to him.

Like I said, I really don’t know what to expect and I’m slowly starting to lose my mind by just reading and reading and reading ...I was an English major in university so it’s hard not to🤦🏻‍♀️ just looking for some sort of guidance or anything really.

Worst part about is I read that caffeine is to be limited and I just can’t bring myself to drink decaf coffee😭
