Infection??

I got an iud put in on Wednesday and the doctor told me to wait 24 hours at least before having sex but preferably 2-3 days, she said if I had no bleeding within the first 24 hours I was probably fine to have sex so I did the next night, it went fine hurt a little bit, but since that night my cramps have been getting worse and worse (I had no cramping the first 24 hours just during insertstion) and I even threw up idk if it was from the pain or if I have an infection? I also am a few days late on my period so I’m wondering if maybe this is my hormones trying to fight the iud?? Pls god help I’m in so much pain
