Dried Blood Discharge Before Period?

According to this app, my period isn’t until about nine days from now (9-25-18), but I keep getting dark brown discharge, almost like dried blood, with a couple weird strings that kinda look like angel hair chow mein noodles.

I just wanna know if this is because of the birth control I started taking (Larissia) about a month ago, since this has never happened before, or if this is unrelated.

I’m also getting sick, which always happens before my period and I’m experiencing slight cramps, but I’m unsure if they’re period cramps or diarrhea cramps, so idk if I should take midol or anti-diarrheal cause i don’t want diarrhea at school
