NT scan w/ Bloodwork- Down Syndrome

Hi Beautiful Mommas!

So I had my NT Scan as well as the blood work that is associated with it. They told me they would call me if there were any issues and if not I would just follow up with my doctor.

They ended up calling me yesterday and telling me they want me to come back in and take a more extensive chromosomal abnormality test. She mentioned the NIPT and Harmony along with a few others I never heard of. She stated that my Down syndrome was 1 in 580. Which sounds good and she said was good for my age group (I’m 30), but they want to do further testing. I’m freaking the heck out. Her main topic of discussion was Down Syndrome, so now I don’t know if I should be worried or they are just taking precaution. She told me don’t worry, but the initial appt when I had my NT scan, they said they would only call if something was wrong. I have mixed emotions. Has anyone experience this?
