How do you tell your husband?

Hello all, 
long story short, I believe I experienced a miscarriage. It would be very early, I’ve had some tests done today but am waiting on results. My husband has been at work since 3 am so I haven’t been able to talk to him all day. He didn’t know I was pregnant as my tests were all very very faint and I had my OB appointment scheduled for Thursday this week. I have no idea how to tell him, it will break his heart. I don’t want to just blurt it out but am worried I will unless I have some tips.

Hi love. First I'm so sorry for your loss. Secondly, I did the same thing as you. I sat him down and explained the situation. All details. The stronger positives. The more faint ones. When they started to fade off, when I started to bleed, and why I didn't immediately tell him about the miscarriage. Because I was devastated and wasn't ready to handle us both being heartbroken. I needed some time to clear my head so I could more easily and gently explain it to him. He ended up understanding and being extremely supportive. I know it's hard, but I'm sure you'll be met with the same love I was met with. I hope your doctor can help in this difficult time and possibly explain what exactly happened.
