When is really the RIGHT time to start potty training?

My daughter just turned 2 she always takes off her diaper and now it’s been more. There’s times she has had accidents on both parts. I put her on her potty training and sometimes she will stay others she won’t. She doesn’t know yet how to ask to go to the bathroom she doesn’t pull her undies down yet. So idk what else to do? Or wait til she understands? How does it work in the nights though? Do you have them wear pull ups? Or leave them in they’re underwear?

Once mine start taking their diaper off, I start potty training. I start by using pull ups and focus an entire weekend to giving them water, then sitting on the potty 15-30 min later. Have small prizes and make a HUGE deal when she finally does it. If she can’t pull her panties up then try pull ups, they’re a little easier to manipulate for kids. She doesn’t have to be able to tell you, you could teach her the sign for potty and when she finally goes, show her the sign (sign language) for potty so she can correlate the two and let you know when she needs to go. Whatever you do, once you start potty training, do NOT go back to diapers and just give up.. that causes so much confusion for them. Once you start, you have to be consistent about it

My first was potty trained at 2 1/2. She would take the diaper off and I’d put her in underwear in the house, if an accident happened it happened and we started again. Potty training isn’t an overnight thing.

Take your right hand put your thumb between your first and middle finger and make a fist with the tip of your thumb poking between your fingers, hold it up about shoulder high and shake it side to side. Say toilet everytime you do it so your daughter starts mimicking this. That way she can verbalize it or sign to you. I did this with my daughter, teaching her signs for certain things and she's almost 5 and still signs that she's hungry sometimes. Something about it just works. It's a tough road for sure, but I wish I had done the toilet one earlier, she was ready to potty train really early but her biggest problem was recognizing the cues her body was sending her. I honestly think pressuring her every 20 minutes was too much on her and had I done the toilet thing from the beginning, omg, I really think it would have made a world of difference.

I have a friend that potty trained her kid at 6 months. She was amazing! But I was only able to potty train my son at 2. I am a stay at home mom, so for about a week he did not wear pants or diapers (he wore long t-shirts so he wasn't completely exposed). I had a potty in the living room and in his room and in the bathroom. In that time he only had 1 accident.

Depends on the child.
My kids all potty train early because it’s cheaper and better for the environment to not wear diapers. 
Oldest was 18 months 
Second was 22 months
Third was 17 months
I just let them go naked and reward them every time they make it to the potty in time. It’s never taken more than 2-3 days to have them day trained. My middle still had accidents at night until 3.5 though.

Wait until it makes sense to her. For some kids it’s different but it works better when they talk and can do everything by themselves.
