Thoughts on being induced?

So my doctor wants to induce me at 39 weeks. I've had a healthy pregnancy, no complications. I wanna know all of your thoughts on being induced? Should I do it, or let it come naturally? Some people have told me it can be a harder labor and birth, while other people told me they were induced and everything went fine. I like knowing the day so I can schedule around it but I also want to do what's best for me and baby.

If it's not necessary then why get an induction? Do you have high blood pressure or something? If you are healthy I would wait until 40 weeks and if the baby doesn't come then I will think about induction.

Is the baby measuring big or are you small framed? I would definitely refuse any induction before 40 weeks unless it was medically necessary. I personally won’t be induced unless I reach 41 weeks with no signs of going into labor on my own though.

If theres no health problems (high bp, gd etc) then its absolutely unnecessary to induce early

I certainly will not get induced without a medical need until 42 weeks. (Which technically once you get that far it is a medical concern)

I wouldn't if there is no indication for induction it is supposed to be more painful compared to going into labour naturally x

Baby doctors done recommended getting induced unless for medical reasons. With my first I got induced because I had cholostasis. With this one I have GD and she’s measuring big but not as big as my first and they want to induce me someday after my appointment next Wednesday because I want to avoid having a cesarean and an epidural unless there’s complications.
