Birth Control dryness

So I just got birth control implant in my arm and I went to see my boyfriend for the first time and when we went to have sex I was so uncomfortably dry down there and I looked it up and I found this. Did anyone else have this problem? If so how did you fix it ! My boyfriend was so sad and thought I wasn’t into him anymore! I really am attracted to him and I don’t know what should do to fix it? Is it only for a short period of time or should I just start using lube?
