Should I take the pill?

Hey! So I’m supposed to get my period in 7 days and I wanted to delay it so my physician gave me a low dose pill to take until I’m ready to have my period. I have never taken it before and I’m 21 years old. I’m worried about the side effects it may have even though my physician said there won’t be any because I’ll be taking them only for 10 days and I’ll have a period as soon as i stop taking it.

So if i wanted to know if i take it today, and stop from tomorrow, will i get my period tomorrow?

Please help!
