Bleeding gums???

My gums have been so sensitive lately. Tonight when I flossed they bled and little blood clots started to form. I’ve never had this issue before ...
Is dentist safe in pregnancy?? Has anyone had this whole pregnant? Does it mean something wrong with the baby ? I’m kinda nervous would love advice.

I’m a dental hygienist and this is really normal during pregnancy due to all the hormones. Just keep brushing and flossing. Also super safe to go to the dentist during pregnancy and highly recommended! If it were me I’d go during first or second trimester just because it gets harder to lay back comfortably in the third trimester.

Its normal and going to the dentist is perfectly safe and recommend while pregnant. I go for my cleaning next week
