Toddler in big bed

So we’ve been away on holiday and the travel cot was awful so our daughter ended up in our bed every night. She’s got a raging cold and has been really grumpy but we’ve decided to put her in her big girl bed.

So far she has screamed for an hour

I’ve stayed with her and sang to her I’ve ignored her and pretended to be asleep.

She just keeps screaming for mummy and daddy’s bed.

Daddy’s caved and now they’re snuggled up in our bed until she falls asleep.

I get she’s poorly but I feel like she is going to do this regardless so why not persevere.

Any advice would be appreciated.
