Normal?

Question

Ok so I’m 30 weeks pregnant and I’m very self conscious of my vagina because I have a longer inner lip/labia that hangs out. I’ve never been checked down there by any professional before and I’m scared for the birth as it will be the first time someone has looked down there (other than my partner) and I feel embarrassed! 
Does anyone else have one and felt embarrassed about labour? How did it go and did they say anything?

I have heard from dozens of nurses that they have literally seen it all! And they aren’t embarrassed or judgmental of anything and you shouldn’t worry! It’s still a little awkward as a patient though. I always got nervous getting check when I was pregnant. Especially when I stopped shaving (couldn’t see down there) but when I was in labor and birth honestly all modesty goes out the window!! I was very modest before but after having a baby trust me... it changes you lol

I also have one, and I couldn't care less. It's just like everyone has different shape of nose or fingers or toes or whatever. Medical professionals are all professionals and they have seen it ALL. During all these years I've been to many vaginal exams and none of my doctors even mentioned it, so really don't be worried what will they think, because I'm sure they won't even notice it.
For me personally the point when I accepted that funny lip 1000% was when my bf told me ah that's what I suck on during foreplay and you love it the most :). So go figure, and I thought it was funny and not pretty ;).

I did fertility treatments.  After having to bear all so often I just do not care anymore 😂

I have been to hundreds, if not thousands of deliveries (c-section and vaginal) and I literally don't pay attention to that. Don't worry about it, your doctor will not remember you by that, nor care about it. The concern is on making sure you are healthy, you get proper care & that the baby is good.
