So me and my roommate are really close and we are great friends so far. She is from a state 10 hours away from where we both go to school. I haven’t gone home because I feel terrible leaving her alone. This weekend her parents are coming up and I kind of want to go home for one night on saturday. Would that be rude? She would have her family and I would be back on sunday.

No. She knew she wouldn’t be able to go home when she chose a college so far away. I left my roommate all the time. We are not attached at the hip. I can go places without her.
