Are all of these baby gadgets positive or negative for development?

Bouncers, swings, jumpers, exesaucers, walkers, I think you get the point.

Do you think that all of these things we have for our babies are beneficial to them or are they setting our kids behind?

I got an email from target today about a 20% off code for baby gear. It was titled, “20% off things to keep baby entertained”

And it made me think. Do we rely on these things too much? Do babies need these things to be entertained?

I’ve noticed a growing trend in a lot of people not holding their babies. They’re constantly in some kind of device. Which is cool and whatever that parent thinks is best. But that’s not how it used to be. Before these things everyone just held their babies and kept them entertained themselves.

I’m not going to lie, my son has some of these things but he really only uses them when we need to get something done.
