Contributing to household duties...

How many of your significant others contribute to cooking, cleaning, grocery shopping, laundry? I feel like a jerk if I have to ask someone who doesn't do it without prompting and I don't like having to ask because it makes me feel like I'm nagging. Is it condescending to set up a weekly chore list that we both work on and agree to? That way I wouldn't have to keep asking?
