Newborn and hemangioma

Has anyone ever had a hemangioma pop up on their newborns tongue? I noticed this little red spot on my baby’s tongue since birth but didn’t think anything of it. She has one on her head that has gotten bigger since birth. I did some research and found out that if they have one they could probably have multiples. So I looked at this spot on the tip of her tongue and it looks like it has gotten bigger as well. She has an appointment with her Ped later this month. So I’ll ask him about it then, but I just wondered if anyone here has experienced it and what the outcome was?
