Toothache

I'm 6 weeks and 5 days. I'm due May 25th. Last week, before I knew I was pregnant, I had a terrible toothache and my face swelled up. I went to the dentist and he couldn't pull it because of the swelling. He gave me 2 antibiotics to work simultaneously. The swelling went down by the next day and I finished them completely this past Monday night. I had a appointment to have it pulled today. I have half day on Thursday. Accept my face swelled up all over again over night. I called the dentist this morning and spoke to the dentists secratary and told her about the swelling. I was at work so I didn't tell her I was pregnant yet because I didn't want anyone at work to know yet. She said there was no need to come in and she'd call the dentist and call me in another round of antibiotics. After I hung up I texted my boyfriend and told him to let her know Im pregnant that way the dentist could call me in a safe antibiotic. That didn't fly! He wanted to see me. He gave me Amoxicillin but not the stronger Flagyl he gave me last time and told me I needed to get a release from my OB in order to pull the tooth. He said if the Amoxicillin doesn't work I will need to go to the ER and get IV antibiotics. I couldn't get a appointment with my OB until 10/17 so I guess I'm just praying the Amoxicillin works or I'm going to end up staying the weekend in the hospital. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to safely get the swelling down? Also I'm worried because of the round Flagyl I took before I knew I was pregnant. It's clearly not safe. What a mess
