Oh HELL no😡

So I’ll start off by saying I have waitressed at this restaurant for close to three years, and I have NEVER been treated so poorly by a customer (customers, actually) as I did tonight.

I am pregnant, but not far enough along to where it is visible that I am. I am also 18 years old, and I do look my age, perhaps a bit younger, like 16ish.

The first issue came when a guy I have NEVER seen before (we usually only have the “regulars”, as it’s a small town and I work for a little family owned restaurant) Anywho, I was walking by this man after taking food to another table and he started talking to me and trying to make small talk. My bosses don’t like when we stand and talk to customers for a long period of time, so I was trying to wrap up the conversation without being rude about it. As I turned away, he grabbed my arm (I don’t care who you think you are, I personally believe you should NEVER touch a waitress or waiter, or any employee for that matter unless you know them.) and wouldn’t let go. He started asking for my number and if he could take me out later, to which I said no. He said “why, are you married? I don’t see a ring” I said no but I do have a boyfriend and I also am pregnant. To which this guy shrugs and says to me “well you wouldn’t have to worry about getting pregnant by a different guy if you were to hang out with me” Needless to say I was disgusted and I turned to walk away.

I went to check on my table, a couple that was sitting a few tables away from this man and heard everything. The guy spoke up first, and said if it had gone much further he would have intervened for me, so the girl he was with (I’m assuming significant other, I could be wrong) looked me dead in the eye and said “I’m surprised she didn’t accept his offer. She must be quite a slut to be pregnant at 18 years old, and she’s being selfish by getting what women who should be having babies but can’t wish they could have.”

BIIIITCH WHAT? Yes, 18 is a younger age to get pregnant but I honestly don’t see anything wrong with it as long as you aren’t living with your parents and can provide for yourself. I have accepted the fact that I will probably get judged, but a slut? No. I’ve been with the same guy for 3 years, I have only ever been with him. While I did not plan to get pregnant, and I do feel bad for the women who struggle to conceive (my aunt being one who still struggles) I do not believe I am selfish either. I am 18 years old, but my boyfriend and I own our own place, He has a very good job, I make decent money as a waitress, and I am going to college to become a nurse. So that bitch can fuck off.
