Has disrespect towards others in general declined?

Things like being on time, opening the door for someone and saying good morning. I feel like no one really cares much about the little things like that anymore.

I feel like the older generations tend to be more entitled and rude, and they don't really try to be polite or enpathetic. 
But other than that, I feel like there's still plenty of people who are respectful and have common courtesy.

Most people seem fairly respectful to me. I’ve not noticed any real change throughout my life.

I think it depends where you are. In Florida, no one talks to each other, no one smiles at each other, and everyone is just nasty. In other states I’ve been to everyone was so friendly, and I remember as a little girl a stranger came up to my dad and I in North Carolina and taught us how to pick the perfect watermelon as we were having trouble and she had grown up growing watermelons. Itsgotten to the point where I’ve decided I can’t take it anymore in Florida and it’s time to move! Moving this year, thank god. I’m so tired of all the rude Floridians, honestly. Been all over florida and nothing changes!

I feel like it’s on the rise or at least in the US. Everyone has a different political opinion and that’s not the problem. The problem is all the nasty name calling and the back and forth banter which I think is incredibly disrespectful.

I only noticed a big change in mutual respect for others once I moved out of the city and to somewhere a lot more rural. It was only when this happened I noticed how society hasn’t actually gone down the drain as people just seem to do those things you mentioned a lot more around where I live now, there’s a stronger community, I only noticed after moving how rude city people can be.
