OMG ARE YOU SERIOUS?
So I went to the ER last night because I began to bleed after cramping all day. Nothing painful, just a bit discomforting. They took a urine and blood sample and did an ultrasound. I am 8+1 as of today. Their findings were as follows: there is an intrauterine pregnancy with average estimated gestational age by ultrasound 5 weeks 2 days, the fetal heart rate is not seen, there is no free fluid, the fetal pole is not seen, the yolk sac appears to be enlarged. My HCG levels are at 6563. They said it was questionable for a possible blighted ovum.
Has anyone experienced this and had positive results/outcomes?
Btw I have an ultrasound with my Dr today, and hopefully this will be transvaginal.
UPDATE: I had an ultrasound (one normal one transvaginally) with my dr and she said that I am measuring around 5 weeks 6 days, she did not see a heartbeat but today measuring 5 weeks 6 days is the earliest you can hear/see a heartbeat, so I’m scheduled for another ultrasound in ten days from today. I am still bleeding (lightly) & having painful menstrual-like cramps. She said there’s a 50/50 chance the baby makes it or doesn’t. Praying.
