Home Fetal Doppler

So, I got my sonoline B fetal Doppler today and used it once. I’m 12 weeks and it picked up her heartbeat pretty fast. I sorta listened for a few minutes and then FaceTimed my sister so she could hear it. I guess I listened for 5-10 minutes? She kept moving so I had to find her a few times.

After using it I started to wonder if there were any risks to using a home doppler (which I should have researched BEFORE I know)

I read that the waves can cause me to miscarry or cause brain damage or overheating.. I’ve had a few uterus pains since then and I’m scared that I hurt her with the doppler! Anyone experience miscarriage after doppler use? Is this true?

I’m like torn between trying to listen to her again to make sure she’s still alive but I’m too scared that I could hurt her..

I asked my midwife about it and she didn’t mention risks but she said “don’t use it because it could give you a false sense of security”

My mom convinced me to try it again so she could hear and I couldn’t find anything. I’m sorta scared that I hurt her the first time I did it 😩
