I’ve had my ears pierced since I was little. Two nights ago I took my earrings out & my ear started getting itchy. The next day I woke up with a bump in the back of my earlobe & throughout the day more bumps appeared. Anyone know what this could be?

You’re allergic to your earring metal. You need solid gold or silver not surgical steel.

Use warm water with sea salt and soak it a few times a day, don't use peroxide or alcohol. Make sure you use real jewelry and if it starts irritating you at all take it out.

Like others were saying its probubly a reaction to the metal so just let it heal and dont ware those earrings anymore. You can wash it out with peroxide too keep it clean or ear wash that they give you for a fresh piercing would be better but I dont know how to get that. Should clear up in a few days

My mom developed an allergy to a pair of earrings she wore her whole life. Its pretty common. She can only wear like 14c gold now.
A lady at the jewelery store thought she was just high maintenance and didnt believe her. So she asked her to try on a less gold pair. She put one in and by the time she switched to put the other one in, the first lobe was already as swollen and red as this picture. So it does happen. And sometime with no good reason. She even became allergic to her rings. Theyre all white gold now.
