Is it possible for a virgin to have a std?

It is possible for a virgin to have an std? This might be a stupid question for many if you but I’m 16 and have had no sex education. (My sex ed is from this app.) my boyfriend says he’s safe cause he’s a virgin (so am I) but I thought you could be born with them or some shit. I’m not sleeping with him so it’s not a big thing. I was just wondering. Thanks to anyone who helps a confused girl out.

You can be born with certain ones yes. Also if any of you have done anything oral and one of you has one or got it from someone else you did oral with yes you could.

You can be born with them only if your mom had one and it spread that way I believe. I think that’s a very low chance though. If you aren’t having any sort of symptoms I wouldn’t worry at all. Also I’m sure your boyfriend is being honest but always keep in mind anyone can say anything without it being true so just be careful when just relying on someone saying they don’t have any :)

Have u or boyfriend done oral with anyone? Because, things can be passed that way as well. And, the only way a person can be born with certain STDs, is if their mother had it & it was passed to them during childbirth or breastfeeding. So, if none of what I just mentioned is a factor, then there’s no way a virgin could have an STD.
