Cramps from hell

Okay so I got my period late like I was around 17 then I went to bootcamp and mct and mos and lost it for months. Well I had about 4 periods after all that then I got pregnant and now i got my first real period in over a year because of birthcontrol and those dumb sugar pills. Well my cramps have been so bad i throw up from them and i cant walk long or stand up long I cant even pick up my 1 year old without being in so much pain it hurts to breathe. My question is is that normal after not having periods then going straight to the pill? Please no judgement I'm 21 and sound stupid but my step mom and doctors never explained anything to me so any advice or tips would be wonderful! Thank you!!
