That’s fine. Sometimes we make plans and things happen in a different order. I did car then house myself. Children and husband hasn’t happened but I’m good single. Less drama. Others had kids first but that was their decision. I think you are trying to do things in the right order but don’t beat yourself up if that plan doesn’t follow exactly.
