Possible Down Syndrome

Hi ladies,

After our 20 week scan yesterday the nurse told us that as the back of the babies neck is slightly larger than they would expect at this stage, and she couldn't get a good look at the heart as he wouldn't sit still, that there is a possibility my baby has down syndrome.

We have another scan with a specialist today to see if they can give us a more definitive answer or not.

I know that down syndrome isn't the end of the world but I'm really struggling. I'd appreciate any advice from current down syndrome parents that might help me feel a little better.
